What is going on in this world?

This 21st century is full of chaos. There appears to be lots to be anxious about. Students are wondering about their social status, their career choices, their relationships, their futures, and their overall place in this world. And just to make things more spicy, throw in the COVID realities.

Maybe you feel the same way. Perhaps you have unspoken fears, or maybe you tend to spend a lot of your daytime hours worrying.

The Rock on Campus cares

We get it. And we want to understand. We want to offer friendship. It’s our goal to be there and offer suggestions about a different way to face the challenges and uncertainties you may be feeling.

“I’m not sure I would have survived as well at Fanshawe without The Rock.”

— Joe C (student)

We Encounter Students

  • You have started college and you’re just not sure where you’re going.

  • The past couple of years have you taking classes in your bedroom…on a laptop…and now you’re in a classroom with other students taking required exams and needing to submit academic work on time.

  • Your roommates have invited you to the campus crawl, they want you to join in the revelry and the alcohol (perhaps the drugs)…and it’s too easy to say yes.

  • The course work you’ve been assigned challenges your assumptions and beliefs — they go against everything you’ve believed all your life.

  • Isn’t the party lifestyle what growing up is all about??

  • You thought that making friends would be easier in college than in high school. Now you feel more lonely than you have ever felt.

  • Identity discussions are happening everywhere…so who am I?
